Nerf N Strike Toy and Magstrike Reviews
Nerf N Strike Guns:Young and Old
When you were a kid, what was more fun than shooting it out with foam dart guns? If you said "Nothing", then you are correct. A game of cowboys and Indians or cops and robbers was always more fun when you were firing live rounds at your buddies.
Everybody loses an eye until somebody has some fun! The Nerf N Strike series takes foam dart guns to the next level, and that's not just advertising copy we're giving, that's the truth. You never had toy guns like these as a kid.
Nerf N Strike guns are huge, let's make that clear right now. They make you feel like Dirty Harry, Rambo and Arnold Schwarzenegger all at once. They're modeled after real life military weapons with just enough of a fantasy/science fiction feel to make them kid-safe and more fun. It's clear that you're playing dart-tag, not trying to embark on a new career in robbing banks.
Here are just a few of the Nerf N Strike guns that made us want to pound our chests and shoot each other...
The Firefly SMG
The Firefly is the sub-machine gun of the lineup, having been modeled after a P90 SMG. Now, the really awesome thing about this gun is that it gives off a quick burst of light with every shot fired. This ensures that your opponents know you mean business! Plus, the darts are glow in the dark so you can track a target during night time combat!
The Sniper Rifle: Longshot
The Longshot is for the combatant who knows that stealth and strategy are more important than sheer firepower. Perfect for night time or rooftop combat. The only disappointment is that the scope doesn't magnify. However, some versions come with laser sighters so you can get the accuracy you're after, plus it'll make you feel like a professional hitman, taking out your targets from windows and rooftops.
THE Nerf Magstrike
When you’re up against superior numbers, this awesome dart blaster evens the odds
Gives you a rapid-fire 10-dart burst with air-powered, rapid-blast action
Blaster comes with a dart magazine and 10 Sonic Micro darts
Thrust on the pump to build your firing pressure, then pull the trigger to unleash an unstoppable storm of up to 10 darts at a time
Air-powered action gives you a rapid-fire advantage over the competition and a quick-loading magazine keeps you in the battle
THE TITAN
We had to put this one in all caps, because THE TITAN is the coolest toy bazooka there ever was, seriously. It's shoulder mounted, based on the RPG7, and fires gigantic Mega Missiles. But the best part is the pressure gauge. This tells you how much air pressure there is in the chamber, which allows for a wide range of tactics. You can use low pressure to launch the missile over a wall, or high pressure for long range attacks. As you know, the more gauges and meters you find on a futuristic piece of weaponry, the cooler it is.
Nerf N Strike has a lot of appeal not just for kids, but for, well, anyone who ever watched Commando or First Blood and thought "Man that looks fun!" Whether you're a kid or an adult with too much time on your hands, you won't be able to put these things down.
Nerf N Strike Magstrike
The Nerf magstrike firing mechanism is based on compressing air into its storage chamber (similiar to a paintball gun) via a pump handle. It takes around 20+ quick pumps to fully prime the Magstrike.
The 10 round clips are ratchet driven so when the Nerf Magstrike fires, the clip is pushed up the gun and compressed air is released in sequence to fire off all 10 foam darts in under 2 seconds. You can also fire 1-2 shot bursts with just a light tap on the trigger.
The percussion sounds the Magstrike makes during firing is quite addictive, almost like mini explosions. This really adds to the appeal of the Magstrike!
The Nerf Magstrike is a ten round automatic Nerf blaster.
As you would expect, the Magstrike relies on air pressure to shoot, and it requires roughly 20 pumps to fully prime the gun. Once primed, you can unload the entire clip very quickly by holding down the trigger. The range on the Magstrike is decent, as each dart will shoot about 20 feet.
One nice feature of the Nerf Magstrike is that you can slide a new pre-loaded clip into the gun after you unload, which gives it a much nicer rate of fire than you’ll see with other automatic Nerf guns like the Nerf Rapid Fire 20.
As with many of the pump primed nerf guns made these days, the pump is made out of rather flimsy plastic and it will break if you’re rough with it. If you stick to controlled and steady pumps, your Magstrike should have a long life.
Also be careful not to over pump, as you can put undue pressure of the air bladder and you’ll notice a very rapid drop in performance. I’d recommend not pumping the Nerf N Strike Magstrike more than 20 times per prime if you want to achieve maximum life.
