Nerf N Strike Magstrike AS-10 Product Description

Nerf N Strike Magstrike

The Nerf magstrike firing mechanism is based on compressing air into its storage chamber (similiar to a paintball gun) via a pump handle. It takes around 20+ quick pumps to fully prime the Magstrike.

The 10 round clips are ratchet driven so when the Nerf Magstrike fires, the clip is pushed up the gun and compressed air is released in sequence to fire off all 10 foam darts in under 2 seconds. You can also fire 1-2 shot bursts with just a light tap on the trigger.

The percussion sounds the Magstrike makes during firing is quite addictive, almost like mini explosions. This really adds to the appeal of the Magstrike!

The Nerf Magstrike is a ten round automatic Nerf blaster.

As you would expect, the Magstrike relies on air pressure to shoot, and it requires roughly 20 pumps to fully prime the gun. Once primed, you can unload the entire clip very quickly by holding down the trigger. The range on the Magstrike is decent, as each dart will shoot about 20 feet.

One nice feature of the Nerf Magstrike is that you can slide a new pre-loaded clip into the gun after you unload, which gives it a much nicer rate of fire than you’ll see with other automatic Nerf guns like the Nerf Rapid Fire 20.

As with many of the pump primed nerf guns made these days, the pump is made out of rather flimsy plastic and it will break if you’re rough with it. If you stick to controlled and steady pumps, your Magstrike should have a long life.

Also be careful not to over pump, as you can put undue pressure of the air bladder and you’ll notice a very rapid drop in performance. I’d recommend not pumping the Nerf Magstrike more than 20 times per prime if you want to achieve maximum life.

Everything You Wanted To Know About The Nerf Magstrike

Everyone has heard of the name Nerf, when you hear the name, you think about soft squishy balls, play doh, super soakers and N-Strike dart blasters. Over the winter months, super soakers get packaged up for warmer days where they can be properly enjoyed. However the classic dart blasters can be used through out the entire year, so it is not a surprise many children and adults alike will buy the nerf magstrike.

Nerf-N-Strike wars is a game that both young and old can participate in, and with the rise of home made movies being posted online, it has become quite popular with many individuals. There are many different brands of nerf guns that may be used, however one of the most popular is the nerf magstrike AS-10 in their N-Strike series of dart blasters.

The magstrike comes with two dart magazines that can contain ten small sonic darts each. The gun is then pumped to create air pressure that will build up until the trigger is pulled to release the darts in a rapid fire succession. The magstrike comes with a vest to match the color of your gun, either in red, blue or yellow.

While their website states that it is not recommended for children under the age of three as the small parts could be a choking hazard, realistically based upon the handling of this toy, the general consensus is that it is designed for a child of eight or more years. A five year old child may not understand the complexities of pumping the toy, or possess the strength needed to pump the gun.

One thing to consider is the speed of the dart blaster. This particular model is capable of firing off an astounding five to nine rounds per second. That is an average of four hundred and twenty rounds per second. With a barrage of missiles, your opponent will be diving for cover.

Perhaps the only draw back to this dart blaster is that you can fire off all your darts so quickly that you may end up running out of missiles. Currently Nerf has not come out with additional magazines for quick reloads. Many nerf enthusiasts or owners of this blaster have expressed interest in purchasing it as an addition to their collection should nerf make extra magazines for it.

Over all the nerf magstrike has excellent accuracy for many elimination, capture the flag or free for all games. Whether you are young or just young at heart this is one of the best dart blasters that you will purchase. You just may find yourself posting your own movies online for your friends to see.
